The Roman Church is far-reaching in her plans and modes of operation. She is employing every device to extend her influence and increase her power in preparation for a fierce and determined conflict to regain control of the world, to re-establish persecution, and to undo all that Protestantism has done.—Great Controversy, pp. 565, 566
In the Catholic Church, Lucifer got exactly what he wanted.
Isa 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
Isa 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
Isa 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
Lucifer’s plan was to be as revered as God and when that failed to materialize in Heaven, he came down on earth to do the exact same thing.
Rev_17:15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
Today, the pope sits proud as the official representative of Christ on earth.
Rev_12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
On earth, Lucifer through the Roman Kingdom managed to have Christ crucified. But that became a mistake as the death of Christ instead of being a victory for Lucifer, it became a victory for every sinner out there.
So then during the early church, the Roman Empire resolved to a more brutal manner to gain respect.
Thousands were imprisoned and slain, but others sprang up to fill their places. And those who were martyred for their faith were secured to Christ and accounted of Him as conquerors. They had fought the good fight, and they were to receive the crown of glory when Christ should come. The sufferings which they endured brought Christians nearer to one another and to their Redeemer. Their living example and dying testimony were a constant witness for the truth; and where least expected, the subjects of Satan were leaving his service and enlisting under the banner of Christ.
Satan therefore laid his plans to war more successfully against the government of God by planting his banner in the Christian church. If the followers of Christ could be deceived and led to displease God, then their strength, fortitude, and firmness would fail, and they would fall an easy prey. Persecution in the First Centuries, The Great Controversy, Ellen White.
This is when this pagan institution started to introduce pagan forms of worship and veiled them in Christianity. The Sabbath was changed to be honored on the venerable day of the Sun. Christmas. Easter was introduced in honor of the pagan god Ishtar who is still revered in the name of Mary.
Their idols were changed from animals and objects to symbolism of a man, a woman and a little boy whom they christened as Joseph, Mary and Jesus. The role of Christ in our redemption was reduced at every stage to a point where today, the Catholic faithful believes that it is Mary who ‘takes’ their prayers to Christ and Christ to God.
Joh_14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Pope Francis, speaking to mark the occasion of the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows in Casa Santa Marta, said the following: “And this is our hope. We are not orphans, we have Mothers: Mother Mary. But the Church is Mother and the Mother Church is anointed when it takes the same path of Jesus and Mary: the path of obedience, the path of suffering, and when she has that attitude of continually learning the path of the Lord. These two women – Mary and the Church – carry on the hope that is Christ, they give us Christ, they bring forth Christ in us. Without Mary, there would be no Jesus Christ; without the Church, we cannot go forward“. Source Vatican.va
The Roman Church now presents a fair front to the world, covering with apologies her record of horrible cruelties. She has clothed herself in Christlike garments; but she is unchanged. Every principle of the papacy that existed in past ages exists today. The doctrines devised in the darkest ages are still held. Let none deceive themselves. The papacy that Protestants are now so ready to honor is the same that ruled the world in the days of the Reformation, when men of God stood up, at the peril of their lives, to expose her iniquity. She possesses the same pride and arrogant assumption that lorded it over kings and princes, and claimed the prerogatives of God. Her spirit is no less cruel and despotic now than when she crushed out human liberty and slew the saints of the Most High.Ellen White, Liberty of Conscience Threatened.
It is not without reason that the claim has been put forth in Protestant countries that Catholicism differs less widely from Protestantism than in former times. There has been a change; but the change is not in the papacy. Catholicism indeed resembles much of the Protestantism that now exists, because Protestantism has so greatly degenerated since the days of the Reformers. Ellen White, Liberty of Conscience Threatened.
Rome has not changed and it will never change. So how does this evil system start to be looked upon in favor? The empathy of the Adventist Church should be to the billions of faithfuls in this pagan system who are being deceived, but to date, the Adventist church has been issuing statements that are in support of this Babylonian system.
Protestantism shall give the hand of fellowship to the Roman power. Then there will be a law against the Sabbath of God’s creation, and then it is that God will do His “strange work” in the earth.—The S.D.A. Bible Commentary 7:910 (1886). LDE 130.1
How the Roman church can clear herself from the charge of idolatry we cannot see…. And this is the religion which Protestants are beginning to look upon with so much favor, and which will eventually be united with Protestantism. This union will not, however, be effected by a change in Catholicism, for Rome never changes. She claims infallibility. It is Protestantism that will change. The adoption of liberal ideas on its part will bring it where it can clasp the hand of Catholicism.—The Review and Herald, June 1, 1886. LDE 130.2
The professed Protestant world will form a confederacy with the man of sin, and the church and the world will be in corrupt harmony.—The S.D.A. Bible Commentary 7:975 (1891). LDE 130.3
Romanism in the Old World, and apostate Protestantism in the New, will pursue a similar course toward those who honor all the divine precepts.—The Great Controversy, 616 (1911). LDE 130.4
When a priest was attacked by terrorists and horrifically murdered, the Adventist Church issued a statement in solidarity with the church of Rome.
What is so wrong with that?
The Adventist Church leaders have stopped looking at the signs of the time and have become complicit to the teachings of Rome. The Catholic Church created Islam to go after black Jews who had fled the destruction of Jerusalem as Christ prophesied.
Whichever way you think of it, Islam and Catholicism are all under one banner.
This is not the first time that people have been murdered to advance a certain cause. The catholic Church murdered more than 50 million people to become what she is today. So what difference does one person make? Well, if the timing is right, killing one person makes a world of difference.
In the killing of this one priest, the whole world, including Muslims flocked to the Catholic Church and bowed before their pagan idols. That was always the plan. And the Adventist Church joined them in a statement.
Friends, remember the Devil is trying really hard to have all religions come under the banner of the church of Rome. So if he could not do that by killing millions of Christians, he had to come up with another plan.
The war on Terrorism is leading to the uniting of all religions very fast and the Adventist Church is signing up.
