Adventist Health has purchased a $17 million parcel in Roseville’s Stone Point master-planned community for a new headquarters campus.
The nonprofit health system’s corporate headquarters has been located on Douglas Boulevard since 1985, but the growing company now leases space in four other Roseville locations.
The board decided to buy new property to consolidate the campus and prepare for more growth underway at the health system, spokeswoman Rita Watermansaid Friday. Little Diversified Architectural Consulting has been hired to come up with plan details in early 2016.
Adventist recently bought lots eight and nine in the Stone Point II development from Cordova 83 Properties LLC, an entity affiliated with Pappas Investments of Sacramento. Efforts to reach the seller late Friday were unsuccessful. The property is located at the intersection of North Sunrise Avenue and Stone Point Drive.
Adventist has its headquarters in Roseville, but operates no hospitals or clinics in the Sacramento region. Affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church, the health system has 20 hospitals in California, Washington, Oregon and Hawaii. The company’s facilities include some urban hospitals, along with rural centers in small Central Valley communities from Southern California to the Oregon border.
The health system generated net income of $117.7 million on revenue of almost $3.3 billion in 2014, the latest figures available. Adventist has more than 21,000 employees. More than 700 of them are spread across five locations in Roseville.
