Exo 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exo 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
Exo 20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
Exo 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
What reasons have you used to avoid going to Church on The Sabbath? Many of us have come up with real and imagined reasons. Sometime it is a Premier League game that stops you from going back for the evening service.
Some have guests. So they end up staying at home with their guests instead of going to Church with the guests.
Some of us even use the weather as a reason not to go to Church.
But in The Philippines, these faithfuls would not let anything stand between them and the joy of the Sabbath, not even the floods. PRAISE GOD!
So even though their Church had flooded, they still went to church and praised God. Oh what a joy the Angels must have joined in singing?
Friends we are entering a very tough time in the history of the Church. Prophecy shows we are close to the close of probation. Investigative judgement has been going on.
Soon, the world will make it even harder for us to worship God truly. Do you have faith enough to stand for God?P If on a normal Sabbath we can find reasons not to go to Church, what will happen when the world uses ever means possible to stop you from going to Church, will you still stand for God?
The beautiful thing is that God has promised to stand with us, to give us the strength to stand with Him. And If He has promised, He is faithful enough to deliver.
