Amazon unveils future of in-store shopping

3 min

Amazon wants to help you shop with just your smartphone. No need to keep carrying around cash and stuff. But they have already done that right? So what do you think would be next?

On Monday, the tech giant unveiled Amazon Go, its new initiative for in-store shopping. The first store opened in Seattle, Amazon’s headquarters and offers breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.

At Amazon’s stores, customers don’t need to wait in line or checkout formally. There are no cashiers. Customers simply use Amazon’s new Go app.

The store is powered by what Amazon has dubbed its “Just Walk Out” technology, which includes computer vision, sensor fusion and deep learning. Mashable

How it Works

As you go to an Amazon Store, you use your Amazon app on your Smartphone to sort of ‘login’. Once that happens, as you walk around picking stuff, the Amazon app (in your pocket or purse) will keep updating the products and prices you pick.

If you change your mind about a product and return it to the shelf, the app will remove the product from the list automatically.

Once you are done, simply walk out of the store and the app will charge your Amazon Account and give you a receipt on your phone. No cashier, no cash, no long lines….just go.

The future and the coming of Christ

Amazing right? Imagine if Amazon is doing that, Facebook is trying to help companies develop virtual bots to chat you up. Planes that would take half the time are in works. Tesla boss is trying to get some rich folks in Mass to start another ‘human world’. Dubai just signed another project for another even TALLER building. Climate Change has been signed by at least 142 countries.

A lot is happening!

Gen 11:1  And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.
Gen 11:3  And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.
Gen 11:4  And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
Gen 11:5  And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.
Gen 11:6  And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
Gen 11:7  Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.
Gen 11:8  So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.

How tall do you think the tower was before God decided to confuse their languages? 12 Storeys? Nuh, God would have confused us more by now! Not even 100 storeys! Right now we are building thousands of feet into the skies above!

Take a step back and look at the bigger picture. The world is at it’s peak, at it’s proudest moment. Forget the wars, these as we all know are politically motivated by rich tycoons who want to get more out of making and selling weapons and oil.

The world is at it’s peak. Technologically at least. Oh, and yes, and this one also…

Gen 6:5  And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

These things should tell us the end is very near.

Dan 12:4  But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

The Bible should be your trusted friend today more than ever.
