Well are we counting God’s greatest gift to humanity? Well I have a couple to put out, how about life? How about the free gift of Salvation? How about the death of Christ for our sins?
Well, not according to Tim Cook, the Apple CEO.
“Let me be clear: I’m proud to be gay, and I consider being gay among the greatest gifts God has given me,” he wrote in a column in Bloomberg Businessweek.
In his column, the Apple (AAPL, Tech30) chief said that he had tried to maintain “a basic level of privacy.” But he said he decided that desire for privacy was stopping him from working for the benefit of others.
“I don’t consider myself an activist, but I realize how much I’ve benefited from the sacrifice of others,” he said. “So if hearing that the CEO of Apple is gay can help someone struggling to come to terms with who he or she is, or bring comfort to anyone who feels alone, or inspire people to insist on their equality, then it’s worth the trade-off with my own privacy.”
Cook, who grew up in Alabama, said he has long been open about his sexual orientation, but had just not previously discussed it publicly.
“Plenty of colleagues at Apple know I’m gay, and it doesn’t seem to make a difference in the way they treat me,” he wrote. “Of course, I’ve had the good fortune to work at a company that loves creativity and innovation and knows it can only flourish when you embrace people’s differences. Not everyone is so lucky.”
There have been some rumors and speculation that Cook is gay. Out magazine had previously named him as the most powerful gay person on its Power 50 list.
How sad? Huh? That the world today has gotten that low, associating something that clearly God calls an ABOMINATION to be a gift? That we really have lost sight of the real gifts from God and in our selfish gullible selves we accept gifts from the devil and call them God’s gifts?
Am I homophobic? Absolutely yes. I hate it that when people are gay they have a big need to make those who are not believe that either God created them gay or God gave them a gay gift. Hello? The bible is clear that no bad gift comes from God. God is holy and all that associate themselves with God MUST be Holy. God is the same yesterday, today and forever.
What makes the world think that the very reason, the very sins God used to punish the citizens of Sodom and Gomorrah are today gifts He is giving out? If so, maybe the God we serve changed or maybe those people who were burnt in a city for homosexuality among other sins need to report God to the international criminal Court for crimes against humanity!
But the fact that this man has taken his position of power and extreme wealth to speak about his sexual orientation really speaks out volumes on what the devil is achieving today. Yeah, we can all say if Cook, the CEO for Apple can be gay, why not me? If God gave Cook gayism as a gift, maybe I also have it right?
He says that if his ‘coming out’ can help others so be it. This is exactly what Christ warned. It was better to have killed this man yesterday by tying a huge rock around his waist and throwing him in the ocean than letting him say he is gay. Now we can accurately assume that thousands of people who have been battling with the day on being gay will follow this guys example and succumb to the lifestyle. What a pity.
