Luke 23:52-54 This man went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid. And that day was the preparation, and the Sabbath drew on.
So here Jesus dies on Friday evening and God forbids work on the Sabbath (the Sabbath begins at sunset Friday)
Ex:20:8-10 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work,
So since they did not want to break the Sabbath, they hurriedly placed Christ in a tomb hoping after the Sabbath they will go and clean Him up (they thought He would not resurrect then)
A week has 7 literal days, we know Christ prophesied he would die three days
John 2:19-22 Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” But he spake of the temple of his body. When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.
If Jesus died on Friday, ‘rested’ on Sabbath-the Seventh Day of the week in the grave..then it makes sense that He should resurrect on Sunday-the first day of the week right?
Catholics do not worship on the Sabbath, which according to Jewish law is the last day of the week (Saturday), when God rested from all the work he had done in creation (Gen. 2:2-3). Catholics worship on the Lord’s Day, the first day of the week (Sunday, the eighth day); the day when God said “Let there be light” (Gen. 1:3); the day when Christ rose from the dead; the day when the Holy Spirit came upon the Apostles (Day of Pentecost). The Catechism of the Catholic Church says: “The Church celebrates the day of Christ’s Resurrection on the ‘eighth day,’ Sunday, which is rightly called the Lord’s Day” (CCC 2191).
The early Church did not move the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday. Instead “The Sabbath, which represented the completion of the first creation, has been replaced by Sunday, which recalls the new creation inaugurated by the Resurrection of Christ” (CCC 2190). Sunday is the day Catholics are bound to keep, not Saturday. Source is catholic.com

What does the Third Commandment command? A. The Third Commandment commands, us to sanctify Sunday as the Lord’s Day.
Well there you have it. An admission of who changed it and by what authority. Now we know Christ did not ‘authorize’ anyone nor church to change the laws, actually he says For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Matthew 5:18
But we know it was prophesied someone will ‘attempt’ to change the laws of God
And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. Daniel 7:25
I used the word attempt since not all the world has accepted that change. Now this is a whole wide topic i ope we will cover sometime, but there you have it, The true biblical Sabbath is Saturday, the Catholic church changed it to Sunday by her own authority which makes it unlawful.
