The world today reminds me of a sad evening in Lot’s compound when the anger of God could not be contained. After a lengthy debate with Abraham on saving the souls in Sodom and Gomorrha, everyone that knew what was coming silently wished for a change of events.
Lot, I presume, just as you or I would, silently wished that indeed there were 50 righteous people in the City. If not 50, God will at least find 45, or 30, or a number enough to save the City. But the City was far gone into her debauchery. Her judgement was sealed. It was only a matter of hours before it was delivered.
