Thousands of mourners among them President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto attended the burial mass for the late Eldoret Diocese Bishop Cornelius Korir at the Eldoret Sports Club.
The mass was led by Catholic Head in Kenya Cardinal John Njue and other Catholic Bishops.
Due to his prominence in church and society, the Bishop was buried inside a Catholic Church so that Catholic faithfuls can continue asking for intercession through him.
According to Catholic doctrine, the Bishop is in heaven and by having his body in church, Catholics can speak directly to the Bishop in asking for their prayers to be answered by God.
After certain set of conditions are met, including ‘proof’ that prayers made through this dead person were answered and a miracle actually happened, the dead is then declared a Saint.
The Catholic ritual of canonization is the most abhored. The Bible’s teaching on the State of the dead are very clear. The dead are a sleep awaiting the second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Bible says the dead in Christ shall rise first.
It is a sick doctrine that puts corpses in church and has people praying to the dead (Spiritualisim) in the biggest ‘church’ in the world.
In May 2015, Kenya was lucky after the Catholic Church ‘decided’ to start the process of declaring the first person from Kenya a Saint. That person is the late Bishop Odunga.
Bishop Cornelius can also be on a fast track to finally award Kenyans a second Bishop, especially if anyone receives miracles praying through him.
Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
