So you have caught a thief in a Supermarket, you parade them and with threats, ‘demand’ they demonstrate how they stole and were going to walk away with it.
You get an armed robber and with stones and pangas, you let him have your wrath
You get two people committing adultery, Naked you parade them on the streets to the chief or Police.
You think its you? You think you holier? You think God is by your side? Wow
Maybe you should think twice
Jesus was not among the crowd that pulled that prostitute 5am in the morning.
Jesus was not among the crowd that cheered on the street picking stones
Jesus was not among the crowd that looked in jest and cursed
Jesus was not among the crowd that cheered “she got what she deserved’
Jesus was not among the crowd that wrongfully quoted the Bible
Jesus was not among the crowd of leaders that wanted to be seen doing right
Jesus was in a remote corner alone
Jesus was in a remote corner writing their sins, the sins He forgave them
Jesus was in a remote corner alone, the corner that was filled with love
A corner that had compassion and pity
A corner that did not see a sinner but a saved saint
A corner that did not pick stones but love
A corner that did not curse but bless
A corner that did not judge but forgave
A corner that was not proud but humble
And today, Jesus still is in the same corner
Looking not at sinners but people who can be saved
And He is inviting you and I
In all situations of life we get ourselves
To join him in His corner
So next time it happens
Be like Jesus
Do what Jesus did
“He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.”
“Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.” John 8:7-11
