Camp Fire in Northern California damages Adventist Health Feather River Hospital, patients evacuated

A trio of wildfires has devoured tens of thousands of acres and numerous structures throughout California, killing at least 29 people as of Monday morning. In Northern California, the Camp fire damaged Adventist Health Feather River Hospital in the town of Paradise. The town has been leveled by the Camp Fire, according to news reports. Butte County Sheriff’s Deputies helped evacuate patients as the roof burned, according to CBS San Francisco.


A hospital spokesperson told the news outlet that all patients were safely evacuated and the hospital was damaged though not destroyed. Per thatl spokesperson, the lower level of the hospital was damaged. However, the upper level and several of the other buildings remain standing, including the ED, OB, Outpatient Surgery Center, Cancer Center, Home Health, Sleep Medicine area, among others. “That said, we have a long way to go and are undergoing a thorough assessment to understand the full extent of the damage,” they said.
