Followers of self proclaimed Prophet, David Owuor, poured on the streets of Nakuru armed with brooms to clean up the roads in preparation of the prophet’s arrival Friday for a three-day prayer meeting.
While singing and dancing on the streets, the enthusiastic followers took the better part of Wednesday to clean the streets and collect garbage in the town saying it was a sign of holiness.
This was the same activity about a year back when the same guy made a similar visit.
In the previous visit, 5 people died while trying to reach to him for a miracle. It is alleged that their relatives had taken them from hospitals in the hope that the Prophet’s healing would reach them.
It is shameful that a prophet that claims to be of God could not see the suffering of these people before hand.
The prayer rally will be held at the Menengai Grounds from Friday through Sunday.
Joh 5:37 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.
Joh 5:38 And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.
Joh 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
Joh 5:40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.
Joh 5:41 I receive not honour from men.
Joh 5:42 But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you.
Joh 5:43 I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
Among the many deceptive doctrines that prophet Owuor is proud of, is the false teaching of the Rapture.
The secret rapture theory supports the idea that during the great tribulation, Christ will secretly take away the righteous from suffering and the wicked shall be left behind for a second chance to repentance.
As long as you are a live, God is giving us time to repent and make our ways right with Him according to His word. But when you die, that door is sealed. So if you died a sinner, that’s it. But purgatory says, well you still have a place for punishment to wash away your sins before entering heaven.
Similarly, the Rapture teaching says the righteous shall be ‘snatched’ to heaven and the rest who shall not be ‘righteous’ shall have time to ‘reconsider’ repenting before the final judgement of God.
But the Bible does not teach that.
1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
