Forest Lake SDA Church to hold free funeral services for Orlando shooting victims

3 min

The Forest Lake Seventh Day Adventist has joined the love train with hashtags like #likewins and has welcomed any of the surviving victims from the Orlando shooting to contact the church for support.

Aside from that, the church has offered free funeral services for the victims of the shootout on Sunday morning which claimed 49 lives. According to the church, the funeral services shall be streamed live for friends and family members who will not be able to attend the service in person.

The most troubling message is that #lovewins. Yes love won at the cross, yes it is by love that we are saved but this particular love that the Adventist Church has decided to declare wins is not the same love that we know of.

This #lovewins hashtag is being used by pro-gay activists to promote tolerance for the LGBT community to live with others peacefully. On the surface of it, there is nothing wrong but absolute Christlike character, but the hidden danger is far worse than we would perceive.

In just one attack, people of all faiths have given up on hate and claim love wins. This also means the laws of God, particularly the laws against sexual debauchery are now being categorized as hate. You cannot truly love someone while holding a doctrine that clearly says that lifestyle is an abomination.

Lev_18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
Lev_20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Please do not get me wrong. I am not endorsing nor supporting what that terrorist did, but when we all join up blindly to claim love wins, we are in essence pointing out that area of scripture as a hate section.

For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. Romans 1:26-27

According to the Bible, the choice for this lifestyle was not shoved down the throat of someone. Eve was not forced into sin, she willingly accepted to eat of the fruit. So we cannot walk with the same Bible that condemns this lifestyle and today declare love wins.

The Bible is clear, we are to love the sinner but hate the sin. The #lovewins is not promoting love for the sinner and hate for the sin but it is promoting love for the sinner and the sin. We are not joining the LGBT in unity and condemning the lifestyle but we are joining in SUPPORT.

Look at Abraham, he loved the people of Sodom and pleaded with God to save them, but at the end of the day, we do not see Abraham a broken distraught man running to and fro those Cities to bury the dead, though he clearly had the means to. What the Adventist Church is doing is actually being the Abraham that goes to bury the dead. Pretty much looks behind like Lot’s wife.

This are very precarious times we live in. People must look at every such disaster from a Biblical perspective. What would Christ do? What would the patriachs and prophets do?

Psa 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

Psa 119:142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.

Rom 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
Rom 7:8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
Rom 7:9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
Rom 7:10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
Rom 7:11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
Rom 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

By choosing to stand in unity with the LGBT community we are actually saying certain laws of God are unjust, unholy and untrue. God forbid!

How shall a man be just with God? How shall the sinner be made righteous? It is only through Christ that we can be brought into harmony with God, with holiness; but how are we to come to Christ? Many are asking the same question as did the multitude on the Day of Pentecost, when, convicted of sin, they cried out, “What shall we do?” The first word of Peter’s answer was, “Repent.” Acts 2:37, 38. At another time, shortly after, he said, “Repent, . . . and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out.” Acts 3:19. {SC 23.1}

Clearly this is not the message the Adventist Church and other faiths are passing. We are not preaching “repent and be converted” we are preaching “love covers sins”. Truly the end is here.

  1. Oh my, if only they knew where this “love train” is headed. They might realize too late that they are headed to the wrong destination.

Thank you for this article. It’s amazing how last-day events have suddenly picked up speed.
