Lessons From the Bamboo Tree

1 min

The Bamboo Tree is one of the most fascinating plants in the world – or rather, in my world. It would have more uses if well utilized and would ensure more cover of the dessert regions if time is taken to plant it in the arid and semi arid regions of the world. One type is fit for all weather conditions and can generate about 300 to 400 stalks while its lifeline is 40 years!!! If that doesn’t bog your mind, i don’t know what will. Yet, the seed takes for ever to germinate – five years to be precise. One might wonder, “why wait for this seed to germinate?” Well, after is watered for 5 years continuously, it can grow up to 40 meters in height in the 6th year alone.

So much the same as an individual. You might be at the point in life where a lot has been pumped towards you in terms of education, resources, words of wisdom and grace but no fruits are coming out; you seem like that bamboo seed which – above the ground, nothing seems live happening while underground, growth and maturity are just building up waiting for the ultimate moment to shoot up and show its magnificence to the world. People might have given up on you because of the drinking problem, sex addiction, joblessness, low income, low productivity at work or even child-bearing in marriage…whatever the problem maybe, remember that you are a bamboo seed in progress…. Sooner rather than later, you will be able to sprout up and grow to your full potential in life and you will have this period to thank for it.

He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it. Even though the world around you thinks that you should quit, hold on to your hope and know that something good is still going to come out of you. Though it tarries, wait:it will surely come to pass.
