During the Angelus prayer (a prayer offered by catholics to Mary) after the Palm Sunday Mass, Pope Francis invited the faithful to learn from the Virgin “the interior silence, the gaze of the heart, the faith to follow Jesus on the way of the cross, that leads to the joyful light of the Resurrection. ”
(Vatican News) – “In this itinerary we are accompanied by the example of Mary, the young woman from Nazareth, whom God has chosen as the Mother of her Son“- says the Bishop of Rome. “She walks with us and guides the new generations in their pilgrimage of faith and fraternity. “
“May Mary help us all to live Holy Week well“, is the wish of the Pope. Followed by the invitation to learn from her “the inner silence, the look of the heart, the loving faith to follow Jesus on the way of the cross, which leads to the joyful light of the Resurrection”.
While Catholics deny that they pray to the dead, Mary is among the many ‘saints’ that incessant prayers are offered to, in the hope that she will intercede to Christ on their behalf.
Below are some more quotes of prayers offered to Mary by Pope Francis.
Together let us pray to the Virgin Mary that she helps us … to walk in faith and charity, ever trusting in the Lord’s mercy; He always awaits us, loves us, has pardoned us with His Blood and pardons us every time we go to Him to ask His forgiveness. Let us trust in His mercy!

“Devotion to Mary is not spiritual etiquette; it is a requirement of the Christian life,” the Pope said Jan. 1
God’s warning to all people is that we come out of this pagan Babylon and not be partakers of her sins.
Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
Rev 18:5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
Rev 18:6 Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.
