“The Pew Research Center released a study Tuesday, January 3 – the same day the 115th Congress was sworn into office – revealing 31 percent of lawmakers claim to be Catholic. This is the highest concentration of Catholics on Capitol Hill since 1961, when such records were first available.”
So the number of lawmakers in the United States Congress, which are Roman Catholics, is now at the highest number since records began. So why is it that this country, America, the country that helped the Protestant reformation by giving liberty to those fleeing the persecution of the Papal Church in Europe now has a large number of Roman Catholics as lawmakers? Why has this country, America, the country that once taught it’s children to abhor Popery, now accepts with open arms, the antichrist system of Papal Rome which brought persecution and death to the world? Because Bible prophecy confirmed in Revelation 13, that these two kingdoms would become friends and unite. That is how accurate Bible prophecy is!
And don’t think that just because there are more ‘Protestants’ in government that the government will be a Protestant one, because the majority of Protestants have now united with the Roman Catholic Church anyway!
The Protestant people who once correctly applied the Papal Church to that ‘antichrist’ system the Bible warned of, failed to move forward in faith and separate fully from Rome. This created an opportunity for Satan to weaken the Protestants, and slowly but surely cause them to look more favorably upon the Roman Church. The Jesuits infiltrated many of the teaching institutions, government positions and churches and slowly but surely changed the beliefs of the Protestants, and they ended up falling for the Jesuit’s social engineering (TV, movies, sports, etc.). And thus the Catholic takeover of America could occur while the Protestants were kept ‘busy’ and ‘entertained’. And that takeover is almost complete!
“They [Protestants] taught their children to abhor popery and held that to seek harmony with Rome would be disloyalty to God. But how widely different are the sentiments now expressed! … Many urge that it is unjust to judge the Romish Church of today by the abominations and absurdities that marked her reign during the centuries of ignorance and darkness … The Protestant churches are in great darkness, or they would discern the signs of the times. The Roman Church is far-reaching in her plans and modes of operation. She is employing every device to extend her influence and increase her power in preparation for a fierce and determined conflict to regain control of the world, to re-establish persecution, and to undo all that Protestantism has done. Catholicism is gaining ground in our country upon every side.” (E.White, The Bible Echo, Feb.1, 1887)
