Oct. 6 during an early morning Mass in the chapel of the Domus Sanctae Marthae, the Vatican residence where he lives the Pope made some serious theological statements that unfortunately for the Catholics make them ‘gospel truth’.
The Popes are believed to be infallible, meaning while acting in his capacity as head of the church, he can never err or lie. Simply put, everything from his mouth is gospel truth. Well, it has never been and this time it is worse.
The Pope started our saying that “While following doctrine is important, those who focus solely on its strict observance can “reduce the Spirit and the Son to a law,”….
Already in the first line he is telling Catholics -nuh, you don’t need the Bible. This is true because they don’t want catholics to discover the precious truths about God. The books of Daniel and Revelation are never taught in Catholic Churches. They don’t understand the Three Angel’s Message and God’s call SPECIFICALLY to Catholics and Protestants in Revelation 18: 4
Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
Rev 18:5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
Back to the Pope.
“It is true that there are the commandments and we should follow the commandments; but always from the grace of this great gift given to us by the Father, the Son; it is the gift of the Holy Spirit and thus, one can understand the law. But do not reduce the Spirit and the Son to a law,” he said.
Let’s dig into that. Did Jesus say we can keep ‘some’ commandments?
Joh_14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Did Paul teach we can ignore the law because of Grace? In even stronger language, Paul wrote to the Church in Galatia,
“I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:6-9).
The Pope continues to say
“This attachment to the law makes one ignore the Holy Spirit. It does not allow the power of Christ’s redemption to come forward with the Holy Spirit,” he said.
So, according to the Pope, by keeping the law, we are ‘ignoring the Holy Spirit’? Huh. What’s the work of the Holy Spirit?
Joh_16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Joh_4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Psa 119:160 Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.
How DARE he! Christ promised that His Spirit would lead us to the truth, to understanding His laws, to finding strength when called to witness our faith. Christ never said His Spirit would come to relax our will to keeping the commandments of God.
Back to the Pope….
The second attitude, he continued, is to “sadden the Holy Spirit” when Christians allow their lives to be led by the “theology of the law” rather than “the freedom of the spirit.”
In doing so, he said, “we become lukewarm and fall into Christian mediocrity because the Holy Spirit cannot do great works in us.”
I am a little confused, is God happy when we keep or break His commandments?
Exo_15:26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
Exo_20:6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
Deu 30:10 If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.
Deu 30:11 For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.
Deu 30:12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
Deu 30:13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
Deu 30:14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.
Deu 30:15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;
Wow, Pope Francis you have gone a little bit too far. Fancy clothes but deep down, the same lies that told Eve you shall not surely die!
Dear friend, do you need more proof? Here is the full post from crux.com.
If you are a Catholic and are reading this, please I pray, get your Bible out, and start reading.
The catholic church is not a church but a den of demons.
Rev 17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
Rev 17:2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
Rev 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
Rev 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
Rev 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Rev 17:6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
