Prophet Owuor – Another antichrist

4 min

Matthew :24:24: For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

On Monday the self proclaimed Prophet Owuor was in Kakamega and I too tuned in to follow his crusade and i was more than astonished at how in broad daylight  a man will seem to want to play God and yet people so blinded by the signs they give no regard to the blasphemy being thrown around.

Some of the points am gonna raise are so subtle and yet have a tremendous impact in the Christian and spiritual world that should not be taken lightly.

Anti means opposed to or someone who is against whatever the prefix is attached.  Anti can also mean in place of as we will find in the book of Revelation.  Thus, to be antichrist means to be opposed to Christ or to place oneself in His place.  The Bible actually describes two different antichrists.

1 John 2:18 – Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

In that  Context this will refute so many theories. One, from the words of Christ and Paul-it is not one Anti-Christ but many. Two is that it is a person(s) and/or a system of worship and three, the anti Christ does not necessarily mean to oppose but to try to be “in place of”.

Where does the Spirit of the anti-Christ come from?

Isaiah 14:13: For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
Isaiah 14:14: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

And that is the Spirit of the anti-Christ…having the desire to rise above all else, to be like the most High.

Lets look at Prophet Owuor and more specifically at Kakamega.

1. Doctrine.

1John 4:1: Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try(also test or prove) the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

While condemning other pastors to put himself as the ‘true’ man of God, this man highly lacks in doctrine. His doctrine that he has persistently stood by is of the rapture. The truth about the secret RaptureThe Secret Rapture and The Antichrist Appearance. The secret rapture theory supports the idea that during the great tribulation, Christ will secretly take away the righteous from suffering and the wicked shall be left behind for a second chance to repentance.

If we would remember, the man started as a simple Dr. Owuor and graduated to Prophet Owuor and now “MIGHTY PROPHET OF GOD”. Now this are the simple things that people disregard yet have significant influence when you bring in the context of anti-Christ Isaiah 14:14: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

He was being addressed as ‘My Lord’ by other pastors and he would call them ‘my sons’ my daughter’.

Can we call anyone “father” besides God, including our parents?

Exodus 20:12, “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be prolonged in the land which the Lord your God gives you.”

Matthew 23:8-10, ““But do not be called Rabbi; for One is your Teacher, and you are all brothers. 9 “And do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. 10 Do not be called leaders; for One is your Leader, that is, Christ.”

So which is it? Can we refer to our earthly dads as father, or are we only supposed to use the term in reference to God? The answer lies in the context of what Jesus was saying. In Matthew 23, he was speaking to the multitudes and his disciples (verse 1). He was talking about how the scribes and Pharisees had seated themselves in “The chair of Moses,” which was a position of authority within the Jewish system at the time. But Jesus was condemning them because he said that they “tie up heavy loads and laid them on men’s shoulders, but they themselves are unwilling to move them,” (Matthew 23:4).

In the context of the religious leaders of Israel and calling someone “father,” Jesus was saying not to give them the reverence and honor which belong to God. Jesus was not speaking in a biological sense as in Exodus 20:12. He was speaking about ecclesiastical superiority.

Prophet Owuor in all sense has taken upon him ecclesiastical authority calling himself Father, Lord and Mighty. All these are not attributes of prophets or teachers. They are attributes of someone who wants to be in the place of another in authority. Calling yourself Lord, Father and Mighty all of which are titles used to describe God is a true spirit of the Anti-Christ.

3. Miracles.

Matthew :24:24: For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

First of all you need to take it off your mind that performing a miracle is a sign of a man of God. Christ says they will show GREAT SIGNS AND WONDERS…and think about all these modern day prophets, their banners always have that message, COME RECEIVE YOUR MIRACLE, GREAT SIGNS etc

Now there are very distinct differences between Christ’s miracles and Owuor’s

And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them. Matthew 8:4

Prophet Owuor in Kakamega was spending minutes on every miracle getting the cameras to get the picture to the world and calling people (doctors) to try and ‘prove’ that he indeed had performed a miracle.

In other words, Prophet Owuor was marketing his miracles to the world and than the doctrine which is a lie. The thousands of people that flocked Kakamega did not go their for teachings but miracles. Do not forget in the heavenly realm, Lucifer was third in command, after Christ, he was the most beautiful and powerful of Angels and Christ realizing this said he will show GREAT SIGNS and WONDERS.

Miracles alone should not lead us to this man. Unfortunately his false doctrine of the Rapture has now been accepted in many churches around the world. On one hand he sells to the world miracles paying TV stations to stream the dramatization and stunts he pulls on stage to the whole world and the price we pay is to exalt a mere man.

As we greedily swallow the miracles given us, so in the same token we swallow the false deceptive doctrines and call him, MIGHTY LORD and FATHER, titles which in an ecclesiastical superiority are reserved only for God.

  1. Hi, you make very good points. Deeply inside i believe he is a false prophet, but theres a part of me that doesn’t really want to say that because if he really is a man of God, then God will punish me. I don’t want to be that person.
There is one thing that really bothers me. Dr. Owuor said that he knows who the anti-Christ is, he said that he saw him in the news already, but he wouldnt say who he is because God didnt give him permition to do so. Something is wrong about this. Could you please educate me on this?
I also wonder why he always says “God told me” …
    Thank you.
