Sanhedrin appoints High Priest in preparation for third Temple

As reported by Breaking Israel News, Rabbi Baruch Kahane, shown above offering the Omer (barley) sacrifice to God in the heart of the Old City of Jerusalem, has been appointed as High Priest by the nascent Sanhedrin.

At the moment, political tensions have restricted access to Temple Mount. This is one of the hotly contested areas between the modern day Israel Nation and the Palestinians.
