SEVEN HEADS OF THE BEAST OF REV 17, IN RELATION TO “DAILY”.
THE “DAILY” TAKEN AWAY, PART I.
STUDY OF REV 17:1-3, 9-11, REV 12, IN RELATION TO DAN 8:11, DAN 12.
WHAT IS THE MEANING OF WORD ‘DAILY’ IN DANIEL CHAPTER 8, CHAP 11, AND CHAP 12?
Daniel 8:11-13, “11 Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of the sanctuary was cast down.12 And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.13 Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?”
”Then I saw in relation to the ‘daily’ (Dan. 8:12) that the word ‘sacrifice’ was supplied by man’s wisdom and does not belong to the text, and that the Lord gave the correct view of it to those who gave the judgment hour cry. When union existed, before 1844, nearly all were united on the correct view of the ‘daily’; but in the confusion since 1844, other views have been embraced, and darkness and confusion have followed.” E.W. 74, 75.
1. THE WORD ‘SACRIFICE’ DOES NOT BELONG TO THE TEXT
In the book of Daniel, the translators and the translations of the original language of the Bible have supplied/added the word ‘sacrifice’ to:
Dan. 8:11 by him the daily sacrifice was taken away
Dan. 8:12 an host was given him against the daily sacrifice
Dan. 8:13 concerning the daily sacrifice and the transgression of desolation
Dan. 11:31 take away the daily sacrifice
Dan. 12:11 the daily sacrifice shall be taken away
The added word ‘sacrifice’ has only brought confusion and darkness. It was not in the original Hebrew bible writings!!!
When the word ‘daily’ is removed, the verses may be read as such:
Dan. 8:11 by him the daily was taken away
Dan. 8:12 an host was given him against the daily
Dan. 8:13 concerning the daily and the transgression of desolation
Dan. 11:31 shall take away the daily
Dan. 12:11 the daily shall be taken away
The word ‘daily’ in the book of Daniel is joined with the words ‘taken away’. The question remains: What was taken away from the daily? How was the daily taken away in the past? How is it taken away in the present? (Dan. 8 and 11). How is it taken away in the future? (Dan. 12). Follow this study keenly! God bless you!
