Present day signs of the end

E G White Prophecy: Protestant Churches will join with Rome, fulfilled or not?

Long ago Sister White declared that all the churches that escaped from Roman influence will eventually return to Rome and embrace her methods that will eventually lead to an image of the beast in America. When speaking of Catholicism, Sister White said…

…this is the religion which Protestants are beginning to look upon with so much favor, and which will eventually be united with Protestantism. This union will not, however, be effected by a change in Catholicism; for Rome never changes. She claims infallibility. It is Protestantism that will change. The adoption of liberal ideas on its part will bring it where it can clasp the hand of Catholicism. –Review and Herald, June 1, 1886

“Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with Spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and Republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan, and that the end is near.”–Testimonies, vol. 5, p. 451.  {ChS 160.4}

To secure such a union, the discussion of subjects upon which all were not agreed—however important they might be from a Bible standpoint—must necessarily be waived.  –The Great Controversy 1888 p. 444

This has to be one of the easiest prophetic statements to confirm fulfilled. When we look at the Protestant churches of today we see Roman Catholicism throughout their doctrines and traditions. No longer do you hear the word “Protestant” in today’s churches. In fact, many of the main stream preachers openly embrace Roman Catholicism as well as speak highly of it.

  • “I found that my beliefs are essentially the same as those of Orthodox Roman Catholic.” –Dr. Billy Graham A Woman Rides the Beast, p.389.
  • “We (Catholics and Evangelicals –ed) have differences, but on the ancient creeds and core beliefs of Christianity, we stand together.” –Charles (“Chuck”) Colson Ibid. p.347
  • “I don’t know anyone more dedicated to the great doctrines of Christianity than the Catholics.” –W. A. Criswell Ibid. p.388
  • “I am eradicating the word ‘protestant’ from my vocabulary . . . it’s time for Catholics and non-Catholics to come together as one.” –Paul Crouch of Trinity Broadcast Network fame. Ibid. p.411
  • “In all the Pope’s writings…he has hundreds and hundreds of Bible verses. If I dare to say there are less [sic] than seven to ten thousand Bible verses in the new catechism, backing everything they say, I wouldn’t be exaggerating. And he makes a statement and backs it with the Word of God. ” –Jack Van Impe. “Van Impe Accused of Bias,” Personal Freedom Outreach,
  • Pope Francis says it’s the devil who divides Protestants and Catholics “Division is the work of the Father of Lies, the Father of Discord, who does everything possible to keep us divided,” he said in a video message a ‘Celebration of Christian Unity’ event organised by the John 17 Movement in Phoenix, Arizona on Saturday. The movement is named after the biblical passage in which Jesus prays for his disciples “that they may be one as we are one”.
  •  Why Pope Francis’ push for unity is going into over-drive The more Christians are unified, the easier outreach to other faiths becomes.
  •  CAR: Pope Francis calls for unity between Catholics and Protestants His meeting with Evangelical Christians was another highlight of his stay in CAR. Speaking to the leaders of Evangelical churches gathered at FATEB (the Evangelical School of Theology), the Pope’s speech focused on unity, mutual respect and collaboration.
  • From Antichrist to Brother in Christ: How Protestant Pastors View the Pope  More than half of evangelical pastors say Pope Francis is their brother in Christ. More than one-third say they value the pope’s view on theology, and 3 in 10 say he has improved their view of the Catholic Church.
  • Rick Warren says Pope Francis is the Pope of all Christians in the world.

Thanks to the infiltration of Roman priests into Protestant churches, we see all sorts of Roman Catholic doctrines and traditions being taught as if they are Scriptural facts today. Just to name a few, we see the Vatican’s seven year tribulation theory, the secret rapture, eternal life in hellfire, immortal soul theology, all the traditions of Christmas and Easter, as well assteeples on church roofs, and of course Rome’s favorite doctrine, Sunday Sabbath. The list is quite large, so when you get the time, take a look at my September of 1999 Newsletter titled, “Are you Catholic? Are you sure?” for more on this.

Now that Rome can see they have taken the Protestant churches by their prophecied wicked deceptions. It’s only natural they seal the deal with a contract locking them into a global church system so as to better control them. This places the prophetic stamp of fulfillment upon their actions quite boldly when you realize what happened on June 26, 2000.
