Be thankful we have Christ

“Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.” Heb 10:7 (KJV)

“Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. 40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.” John 5:39-40 (KJV)

This morning while doing my morning’s devotions the thought occurred to speak about: Christ. Of late, I’ve heard so much about many things which are misconstrued especially those who try to distinguish between Yeshua (Christ) and Yahweh (The Father). I made a comment once about “Christ” having given the Ten Commandments on Mt. Sinai and there were some who have this belief it was “Yahweh”. Now, the short answer would be it wouldn’t have mattered “Who” gave them to us, it is still “Ruach” (Holy Spirit) which impresses upon us and helps us to understand it. Now, did I just confuse everything?!?!

Although They are “3 in 1” They each have their designated responsibility, Their “separateness” insofar as we are concerned. However, it should be made clear, when man sinned, this separated us from One of them, the One called “The Father”. It meant there was something, sin, which kept Him from us and us from Him because as a result of “sin” we would have been destroyed immediately in His presence. So, thankfully, Christ became the Intercessor, our Advocate, our “All in All” to reconcile us to His Father, God.

Let me put it this way and think of it as a courtroom scene. The devil is our prosecuting attorney and God the Father is the presiding judge. Christ is our attorney. It is so nice to have an attorney who is a close relative to the judge! And what’s even more to our benefit is the Holy Spirit is the investigator, who provides a “witness” to our attorney and judge and, my goodness, had I had it like that in all my criminal cases, I would have NEVER gone to jail!

God didn’t separate Himself from us, we did it, when we sinned. However, Who still came to show Adam and Eve how to perform the sacrifice? Christ. Who was it who visited Abraham to discuss him having a son and about the imminent destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah and met him after warring with those who had taken his nephew Lot? Christ. Who wrestled with Jacob? Christ. Who was in that burning bush, in the flame/cloud which lead the Israelites, who handed Moses the 10 Commandments-twice? Christ. Who visited Joshua after Moses died? Christ. Who walked in the flaming furnace with the Three Hebrews? Christ. Christ is all over that Bible! Well, didn’t the text indicate He would be? Who has spoken even to me on several occasions? Christ. Who will speak with you if He hadn’t already? Christ. BE THANKFUL WE HAVE CHRIST who was willing to reconcile us with His Father.

Now, who was willing to visit His Son when He hung on that cross, who covered Himself with a cloud shielding Himself and His Son from the eyes of a peering world? His Father. God WILL reveal Himself, to us, when we’ve been reunited through the efforts and merits of Christ, along with their Helper, the Holy Spirit. They are truly 3 in 1, and when you have seen One, you are seeing all Three. And one day when God looks over the battlements of Heaven to see His waiting sons and daughters to give the order to bring us to Him, He will actually see His Son reflected in each and one of us who accepted Christ as our personal Savior.

And in that day, that glorious day, we shall all be ONE!
