“And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.” – Matthew 7:25
This was a miraculous moment when everything else was turn to rubble, the Adventist Church in the Phillipines stood strong, stood tall and stood above everything else. This is a great throwback that we need to keep on reflecting as a true testimony that on Christ we stand on a solid rock. The picture below was taken last year in November 2013 in Phillipines.
And this Sabbath, this can be a great lesson for all Adventists across the world. What foundation are you built on? Is it the foundation of God or the falling sands of the world? Everything around you will crumble and fall but just like the Church, when you have build your faith in the word of God, one thing will stand and not be shaken, YOU!
Today I invite you to take a moment and reflect about this. There was a great flooding and structures were taken down but the Church of God stood in it’s place.
What is happening in your life? Everything maybe falling into pieces. Maybe it is a job, maybe finances, maybe your results are dropping, maybe they are the attacks and wars happening around you today…but I wanna assure you something precious, that with God by your side, everything else may fall away but YOU WILL STAND.
Remember the story of Job the servant of God. Reflect upon it and join me in this hymn….
My hope is built on nothing less
than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
but wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
On Christ the solid rock I stand;
all other ground is sinking sand,
all other ground is sinking sand.
When Darkness veils his lovely face,
I rest on his unchanging grace.
in every high and stormy gale,
my anchor holds within the veil.
His oath, his covenant, his blood
supports me in the whelming flood.
When all around my soul gives way,
he then is all my hope and stay.
When He shall come with trumpet sound,
O may I then in him be found!
Dressed in his righteousness alone,
faultless to stand before the throne.
