God instructed Ellen White that the anti-Trinitarian writings of our pioneers were to reproduced.
“God has given me light regarding our periodicals. What is it? — HE HAS SAID THAT THE DEAD ARE TO SPEAK. How? — Their works shall follow them. WE ARE TO REPEAT THE WORDS OF THE PIONEERS IN OUR WORK, who knew what it cost to search for the truth as for hidden treasure, and who labored to lay the foundation of our work. They moved forward step by step UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF THE SPIRIT OF GOD. One by one these pioneers are passing away. The word given me is, LET THAT WHICH THESE MEN HAVE WRITTEN IN THE PAST BE REPRODUCED.” — (E.G. White, RH, May 25, 1905)
So not only did Ellen White not rebuke the pioneers for their anti-Trinitarian writings, but GOD INSTRUCTED HER to make sure that the writings of the pioneers were reproduced!
From this alone we have two choices. Either she was a false prophet and had no trouble with others teaching serious error on something as important as who the Father and Son are. Or the non-Trinitarian view is correct.
We should expect no less as the non-Trinitarian view was in fact a GOD GIVEN PILLAR OF FAITH.
“Those who seek to remove the old landmarks are not holding fast; they are not remembering how they have received and heard. Those who try to bring in theories that would remove the pillars of our faith concerning the sanctuary or concerning the PERSONALITY OF GOD OR OF CHRIST, are working as BLIND MEN. They are seeking to bring in uncertainties and to set the people of God adrift without an anchor.” — (E.G. White, MR760 9.5, 1905)
Note carefully below what Ellen White is referring to when she says the PERSONALITY OF GOD OR OF CHRIST.
“Here the apostle has pointed out one of the marked characteristics of spiritualist teachers. They REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE CHRIST AS THE SON OF GOD. Concerning such teachers the beloved John declares: “Who is a liar but he that DENIETH THAT JESUS IS THE CHRIST? He is ANTICHRIST, that DENIETH THE FATHER AND THE SON. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father.” 1 John 2:22, 23. Spiritualism, by denying Christ, DENIES BOTH THE FATHER AND THE SON, AND THE BIBLE PRONOUNCES IT THE MANIFESTATION OF ANTICHRIST.” — (E.G. White, PP, p. 686.1)
The Trinity doctrine was created by Satan via the Catholic Church (antichrist), and so if you do not understand the meaning of antichrist in this respect and follow this false doctrine, whose side are you on? Is the Trinity doctrine in the SDA Church the same as the Catholic Church?
“Those who become confused in their understanding of the word, who fail to see the meaning of antichrist, will surely place themselves on the side of antichrist. ” — (E.G. White, SDA Commentary, vol. 7, 949)
Note how Ellen White links the PERSONALITY OF GOD AND OF HIS SON with 1 John 2:22-23 and ANTICHRIST.
“Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is ANTICHRIST, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father; [but] he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. (Par. 17) … HE WHO DENIES THE PERSONALITY OF GOD AND OF HIS SON JESUS CHRIST, IS DENYING GOD AND CHRIST.” — (E.G. White, RH, March 8, 1906, p. 9)
The Trinity doctrine makes it impossible for Jesus to be the literal Son of God, which in turn makes it impossible for God to be His literal Father. So it denies both the Father and Son. Or in other words, it denies they have the PERSONALITY of a REAL Father and Son. This is what the Apostle John was referring to and also what Ellen White was referring to.
This was a PILLAR OF FAITH of the SDA Church!
And hence the non-Trinitarian view which does NOT deny the PERSONALITY OF GOD AND OF HIS SON JESUS CHRIST was GOD GIVEN and why God instructed her to reproduce the anti-Trinitarian writings of the pioneers. These were TRUTH and God given!
Let’s make this even clearer.
What wrong belief denies the PERSONALITY OF GOD AND HIS SON which is denying God and Christ which is antichrist?
Her husband said,
“Here we might mention the TRINITY, which does away [with] the PERSONALITY OF GOD, AND OF HIS SON JESUS CHRIST,” — (James White, RH, Dec 11, 1855, p. 85)
And from Andrews also,
“The doctrine of the TRINITY which was established in the church by the council of Nice, A.D. 325. This doctrine DESTROYS THE PERSONALITY OF GOD, AND HIS SON JESUS CHRIST our Lord.” — (J.N. Andrews, RH, March 6, 1855, p. 185)
If Ellen White and the Apostle John call this antichrist, is it a salvation issue? You can be sure it is!
