A startling headline from the Chicago Sun Times reads, “If Trump won’t lead, there’s always Pope Francis.” The newspaper is by no means a religious paper and is not coming from the prophetic standpoint of Revelation 13 and the reemergence to world dominance of the Roman Catholic Church, to the repudiation of every principle of the constitution.
The author of the piece, Neil Steinberg, uplifts Pope Francis for his interest and contributions to science, especially his leadership on taking action against climate change, while disparagingly criticizing Donald Trump and the congresspersons that deny or question the validity of climate change.Climate Change Is UN Hoax To Create New World Order
The issue of climate change along with other issues viewed as societal threats, will be prominently used to impose a National Sunday Law; and while there may be some who deny climate change, viewing it as a hoax, the increase and intensification of calamities along with extreme weather will be attributed to individuals “offending” God by desecrating God’s laws, particularly the violation of the Sabbath, which Catholics and the majority of Protestants acknowledge as Sunday, which is not biblical but is a creation of the Roman Catholic Church and is a violation of God’s true Sabbath, the seventh day of the week.
Vatican orders all worldwide Catholic Priests to preach Climate Change
“It will be declared that men are offending God by the violation of the Sunday sabbath; that this sin has brought calamities which will not cease until Sunday observance shall be strictly enforced; and that those who present the claims of the fourth commandment, thus destroying reverence for Sunday, are troublers of the people, preventing their restoration to divine favor and temporal prosperity.” Ellen White, The Great Controversy (1911), page 590
Many individuals hold the very sentiments expressed in the title of the article under consideration that “If Trump won’t lead, there’s always Pope Francis.” This applies not only to Donald Trump and the United States, but any world leader who does not align his/her policies with that of the Pope; and Mr. Francis is all too ready to step in as the de facto President at the behest of the people (which he has been conditioning them to do).
Pope Francis is highly revered by the nation’s leaders and afforded privileges and positions in international policies that no other church could ever enjoy; and is sought out by many leaders to bring reconciliation between striving nations and even has a voice in civil matters of countries.
He is considered a moral leader and has not a few times inserted himself into the political arena shaping policies of nations and making recommendations that serve, not the interests of the nations, but the interests of the Roman Catholic Church.
Not only is Pope Francis a hero to world leaders, but he is held in deference by Roman Catholics of course, evangelicals, and even other religions, not to mention those having no stated religious affiliation. He has transcended the confinement of his religious influence and has managed to interweave himself and Roman Catholic social teachings and religious policies (often in the guise of peacemaking or environmental concern or some other seemingly noble cause) into every fabric of society, oft times unbeknownst to the masses.
Pope Francis is in a position where he wields more power and influence than presidents and prime ministers and is not bashful in using his craftiness and charisma in inserting himself into politics in order to accomplish his agenda, all the while assuming the appearance of a humble man, under which, however, is the deadly venom of a serpent. Pope Francis Says “Small Group” Deserves No Freedom of Speech and Press
The time has come wherein the prophecy of Revelation 13 is coming to pass wherein Roman Catholicism will regain her lost supremacy, which will be recovered through the legislative and judicial authorities of the United States. From there, her power will extend to the rest of the habitable world, and the end of civil and religious liberties will have come to America and the world, and the infliction of civil penalties for those who deny Roman Catholicism’s claims to authority over the state and her imposing of religious laws.
Speaking of the formation of the image to the beast that America makes to Roman Catholicism, Ellen White in The Great Controversy writes,
“‘Saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast.’ Here is clearly presented a form of government in which the legislative power rests with the people, a most striking evidence that the United States is the nation denoted in the prophecy. But what is the ‘image to the beast?’ and how is it to be formed? The image is made by the two-horned beast, and is an image to the beast. It is also called an image of the beast. Then to learn what the image is like and how it is to be formed we must study the characteristics of the beast itself–the papacy. When the early church became corrupted by departing from the simplicity of the gospel and accepting heathen rites and customs, she lost the Spirit and power of God; and in order to control the consciences of the people, she sought the support of the secular power. The result was the papacy, a church that controlled the power of the state and employed it to further her own ends, especially for the punishment of ‘heresy.’ In order for the United States to form an image of the beast, the religious power must so control the civil government that the authority of the state will also be employed by the church to accomplish her own ends. Whenever the church has obtained secular power, she has employed it to punish dissent from her doctrines. Protestant churches that have followed in the steps of Rome by forming alliance with worldly powers have manifested a similar desire to restrict liberty of conscience.” Ellen White,The Great Controversy (1911), page 443
It is clear that the image to the beast is already set up, therefore, God’s people now must be forming an image to Christ, being changed into his lovely character by beholding Him daily and perfectly reproducing his character.
