“People of the world, thank you,” Trump begins. “Together we will determine the course of America and the world for many many years to come.”
He continues: “We the citizens of America are now joined in a great national effort to rebuild our country and restore its promise for all of our people.”
In his inaugural address, President Donald Trump emphasizes his pledge to confront “radical Islamic terrorism.” During the campaign, he faulted former President Barack Obama and his opponent Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton for not referring to violent extremism with that language.
“We will unite the civilised world against radical Islamic terrorism, which we will eradicate completely from the face of the earth.”
“We do not seek to impose our way of life on anyone – we will shine, for everyone. ”
“We must speak our minds openly, debate honestly.”
“There should be no fear. We are protected and we will always be protected. We are protected by the great men and women of our law enforcement. And most importantly we will be protected by God. ”
