Valentine is a papal pagan celebration of the dead

Like Christmas, Easter, Halloween, New Year’s and other holidays of this world, St. Valentine’s Day is another attempt to “whitewash” perverted customs and observances of pagan gods and idols by “Christianizing” them.2 min

Valentine’s Day is a celebration of “St. Valentine” a Roman Catholic bishop/priest who is said to have lived and died in the 4th century. He is celebrated for promoting secret love affairs and conducting secret marriages between soldiers, who were sworn into to the legion and not allowed to marry before completion of military service, and young maids. The concept of Valentine’s Day is not only the veneration/adoration and worship of a dead person but also thepromotion of illicit/forbidden love affairs. it is also the celebration of the Greek (pagan) god, Cupid who is depicted as winged infant with a bow and arrow that is shot through an illustration of a red heart. Is this not idolatry?

As innocent and harmless as St. Valentine’s Day may appear, its traditions and customs originate from two of the most sexually perverted pagan festivals of ancient history: Lupercalia and the feast day of Juno Februata.

Celebrated on February 15, Lupercalia (known as the “festival of sexual license”) was held by the ancient Romans in honor of Lupercus, god of fertility and husbandry, protector of herds and crops, and a mighty hunter—especially of wolves. The Romans believed that Lupercus would protect Rome from roving bands of wolves, which devoured livestock and people.Cupid cupid1 nucupid

Deut 25 (NKJV)
1Now Israel remained in Acacia Grove and the people began to commit harlotry with women of Moab
2They invited the people to the sacrifices of their gods, and the peoople ate and bowed down to their gods.
3So israel was joined Baal of Peor, and the anger of God was aroused against Israel.

What was Baal Peor all about? It was a profane form of worship that promoted profane sexual conduct/illicit sexual relationships. Scripture state in no uncertain terms that this practice angers God.

Psalm 106 (NKJV)
28They joined themselves also to Baal of Peor, And ate sacrifices made to the dead.
29Thus they proved Him to anger with their deeds. And the plague broke out among them.

Deut 4 (NKJV)
3Your eyes have seen what the LORD did at Baal Peor; for the LORD your God has destroyed from among you all the men who followed Baal Peor.
4But you who held fast to the LORD your God are alive today, every one of you.
9Only take heed of yourself, and diligently keep yourself lest you forget the things your eye have seen….”
