Willy Paul’s songs are an insult and blasphemous to God

4 min

This is a gospel song from one Willy Paul a Kenyan ‘gospel’ artist who has in so short a time grown famous. Singing with earrings in both ears in direct contravention to the word of God that is clear

You shall not make any cuts on your body for the dead or tattoo yourselves: I am the Lord. Leviticus 19:28

“Ungekua kabinti ningecheza love song, huku na kule ningekufuata wewe…ungekua mtoto ningekutoa nappy, kila siku kubali ma-pampers…ungekua jambazi ungenitenda, singecomplain.”

Translation (direct)-in reference to God he says

“If you were a young girl I would sing you a love song, I would follow you everywhere, if you were a baby I would remove your soiled pampers everyday, if you were a criminal I would let you rob me without complains”

Now “Christians” jump and sing to these lyrics in apparent ‘praise’ to God and the artiste himself dances away with earrings in both ears and a what was to have been a gospel song is dramatized in the video with your ladies.

In other words, Willy Paul has brought God down to the level of humanity and compared God to a lady and in a sexual connotation, he tells God if you were a young girl I will sing you a love song.

As if that is not enough, he brings God further down to the level of an infant and tells God if you were a kid I will remove your soiled pampers daily.

Am not so sure how cleaning a babies pampers can be comparable to the love of God but I get to the choking point of sick and disgust that someone will so openly provoke, taint and blaspheme the name of God so openly and thousands of Kenyans who profess christianity sing along in jubilation.

Well, as if that was not offensive enough, he compares God to Satan. The bible says

The thief cometh not, but that he may steal, and kill, and destroy: I came that they may have life, and may have [it] abundantly. John 10:10

In that quote, Christ compares the devil to a robber, but Willy Paul goes a step further and calls God The devil. In His lyrics, He says if God were a robber, he would gladly let God rob him….as in how do you even start justifying the blaspheme, stupidity, paganism and shear ignorance of scripture in that? In as much as it is said ‘love they enemy’ I would not sit with such a stupid representative of the devil in church until someone beats some sense in him.

When Peter-who later turned out to be one of the apostles was in the way of Christ fulfilling His earthly mission of saving humnaity, Christ rebuked him saying

“Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.” Matthew 16:23

People will say am too judgemental I don’t appreciate other ‘music’ or ” dont even listen to that, and make your ways right, Jesus is coming.”

We all know Christ is coming, we all know He spoke of a time when the gospel will be trashed in the ground and false teachings made to thrive. But it should not be on my watch.

How? The bible is clear..we are to ‘teach’ others the right way, we are to ‘test’ these teachings to see if they are of God, we are to ‘admonish’ others and we are to ‘warn’ others…the devil was the best musician and no doubt he has used music to deceive and lead many astray…now if you know the right way and sit back because you are ‘preparing your way’ then are you really your ‘brothers keeper’?

But how did it reach to recording that song without anyone raising an eyebrow? The bible has an answer

Israel’s watchmen are blind, they all lack knowledge; they are all mute dogs, they cannot bark; they lie around and dream, they love to sleep. Isaiah 56:10

These are our professed pastors and prophets, priests who would rather “be teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’” Matthew 15:9 like Christmas and have no authority on the word of God for which they are ignorant.

They have been caught in so many scandals, sexual, money making, some faking miracles, their teachings “lack inspiration of God, which is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2Timothy 3:16.

Kenyans too have refused to up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 2Timothy 4:3

That is why even after refutable recordings of a fake pastor soliciting for sex and money favours before praying for someone, the same pastors churches will always be beyond full. For the pastors will tell them to ‘plant a seed’ and God will multiply it.

This song is demonic comparing God to mere man in a sexual way and has no single backing for it to be recognized as a gospel song. It is an insult and blaspheme and any and every Christian must stand up to condemn it. But is that the far it goes?

How many songs have we passed that blasphemed God? MOG called God a mere carpenter and we were all singing

umechongwa na fundi wa mbao

Gospel music has become the greatest tool for the devil. It is a song whose words are buried in blasting popular beats that appeal to the heart and before you realize it, the songs have crept into the churches hearts and minds of young and old alike. And every moment we dance to the lyrics and sing along, we help the devil in heaping a bunch of insults to the name of God.

The bible gives you and I authority to search the scriptures

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try(test)(prove) the spirits whether they are of God: 1John 4:1

1 Peter 3:15-16 – But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and [be] ready always to [give] an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you….

2 Timothy 3:16 – All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Reproof and correction means when someone is doing something wrong, you are justified to quote the bible and tell that person that they are doing something wrong

Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him Galatians 6:1
Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. 2 Timothy 4:2

As for those who persist in sin, rebuke them in the presence of all, so that the rest may stand in fear. 1 Timothy 5:20

It is a high time that we all look carefully at what we listen to and what we allow into our homes, churches and especially our kids so that we don’t just blindly accept ‘gospel’ music that is laced with insults and blaspheme to the name of God.
